The early bird registration fee for the Southwest Writers Institute is $100. After October 15, 2007, the registration fee is $130. Registration for SWI Alumni from 2005 and 2006 is $85. Only those registered by October 15 will be eligible to participate in the SWI/Cutthroat Publication Contest. Please make checks payable to Fort Lewis College. Thanks to generous support from the Fort Lewis College Foundation and from the Colorado Council on the Arts, a limited number of scholarships are available to FLC Alumni and area residents. Registration closes November 8, 2007. The registration fee includes participation in two different craft sessions (of the participant's choosing) and the writers' panel and open mic on Saturday, as well as admission to the Institute's Reception and Reading on Friday. Registration also includes the food and wine reception on Friday, and on Saturday coffee and pastries in the morning and lunch between craft sessions. Participants who register by October 15 are eligible for the Cutthroat's publication contest. The rosters for Craft Sessions are assembled as registration materials arrive; thus, the earlier you register, the better the chances of being placed in your top choices for craft sessions.
