Cutthroat, A Journal of the Arts

The SWI and Cutthroat, A Journal of the Arts are sponsoring a writing competition--The SWI/Cutthroat Special Awards in Poetry and Short Fiction for registered 2007 SWI participants. The winners will be published in Cutthroat, A Journal of the Arts. Judges are: Short Fiction: Al Sims, author of Stories in the Old Style and Los Huertos; and Poetry: William Pitt Root, author of White Boots: New and Selected Poems of the West and Poetry Editor of Cutthroat. In order to submit an entry, participants must be registered by October 15, 2007. For those interested, enclose one or two unpublished poems (50 line limit) or one unpublished short story (2500 word limit) along with your registration materials. Please leave your name off all pages of the submitted poems/story, but do include a cover sheet with your name, email, genre of entry, and title of entry. All submissions will be recycled.
