After long deliberation and with heavy heart, the SWI Planning Committee has decided to cancel this year’s Southwest Writers Institute. The cancellation of our keynote speaker, Wilma Mankiller, has made this decision almost unavoidable.
We hope that you will understand that we are unable to hold this year’s event. SWI will reimburse registered participants in full. Those who have registered most recently will have their original payments returned to them. The paperwork for those whose checks have been tendered will be completed by the end of the week and we hope that those checks will arrive by Thanksgiving. For those who paid by credit card, the request for credit to the account has been registered with Accounts Payable and we anticipate those credits will appear on your next account statement.
